Short but Sweet

Last weekend we went to visit friends who have just had a wee baby. I made these little duckling cookies to take with the baby present. I was actually really pleased with them – I think they are very cute. I also made the ones below which aren’t quite as cool as the ducks.

My blog is soon going to be over-hauled. I have got a blog designer creating a new design for me which I am excited about! I am also keen to hear from readers of my blog what you like to read about the most and is there anything else that I don’t write about that you would like to read more about. Please leave a comment or e-mail me directly. You can find my e-mail address here. Thanks for your help and there will be a spot prize for someone who comments or e-mails.

Hi Tammy

Looking forward to the update - although there is nothing wrong with the current format :)

From reading foodlovers I understand that you have done a previously made jams / preserves / jellies and pastes. If you ares till making these it would be great to read about them on your blog.

I like that you let us know what is going on in your life as well as just cooking and recipes (ps. I'm sure you will not have any difficultly finding builders in the future - just show them this blog and they will realise that they are setting themselves up to be spoiled baking-wise).

Kind regards, Kimberley

Another thought - would it be possible to get a recipe summary? Possibly grouped by type?

Just makes it easier to find recipes as there are most posts.

Thanks, Kimberley

Your cookies are so cute!! Love 'em.

I'm not much help in the blog department, I'm not creative that way. Just want to say good luck, I'm sure it will be awesome.

Hi Tammy,

Another Foodlover here :-)

I'd also recommend having a listing on the side of your blog with different categories of recipes. Then if I was looking for one of your posted recipes on muffins, I could select muffins and it would then bring up all of the posts that you had muffin recipes.

I also like it when you chat about your life as well as the cooking/baking. Although I can understand if you prefer to keep it more food oriented. I'd love to see pics of your new kitchen when it's finished!

Keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing what changes you make!

Cheers, Wilma

Hi there Tammy,
I am a kiwi living in the Middle East and I stumbled across your blog by accident about six months ago but now read it every few days. I have always been an avid cook but have only this year taught myself to bake. Loads of my baing recipes come from your blog as its so nice to know what worked for you and any wee tips you have included to help ensure sucess. It is just lovely for me being a NZer away from home to hear wee bits about the weather, seasonal food etc when you blog about this as part of your writing. I agree with Kimberly re creating some type of index as at times I have spent ages looking through'cookies' or 'baking' to find something I know you have blogged about.

All in all though, I simply love your blog it is a joy to read, so thank you so much for all your hard work and gorgeous cooking.

Tamsin
PS I have just found a wonderful choc chip biscuit recipe which you may like to try- the sort of chewy American type-yum!

OOh!! that sounds fun! you lucky thing, i would love an overhaul for my blog :)
as for feedback, i'd echo kimberley that i love how you share what's going on in your life. it makes me feel more personally connected than to a blog that just posts recipes, and it gives me encouragement in my own baking and cooking.
i also like that you post on a variety of things, for all-round inspiration in the kitchen.
thank you, tammy!! :) and all the best for the redesign!

I love your blog Tammy, especially the way you update it so frequently. Whenever I settle down to have a blog reading session I can guarantee you'll have something new for me to read. I don't think there's anything wrong with the current look but think it would look nice if you had some pictures in your top banner - perhaps a photo strip of various things you have made.
